About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Birch Hill care Centre. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to residents, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
- Assist residents with personal care needs, including dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting.
- Provide nutritional support, including feeding and promoting choice and independence.
- Engage in social interaction with residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
- Administer prescribed medicines and homely remedies, in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Complete and update resident care plans, medical records, and other records as directed.
- Participate in quality assurance programmes and contribute to the implementation of person-centred care.
- Support residents to participate in activities and engagement opportunities tailored to their abilities.
- Act as a key worker for allocated residents, providing ongoing support and care.
