Bank Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bank Nursery Chef to join our team at Bright Horizons Family Solutions. As a Bank Staff member, you will have the flexibility to work on a bank basis, blending the convenience of locum work with the security and benefits of being an employee.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook nutritious meals for children, adhering to Bright Horizons' set menus and recipes.
- Ensure all dietary requirements are met and communicated effectively to the team.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to internal and external health and safety standards.
- Lead cookery club sessions with children, promoting healthy eating and nutrition.
- Support nursery activities, such as BBQs and staff meetings, and ensure stock levels are managed and recorded.
- Work in partnership with the nursery team and parents to promote a healthy and safe environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial catering environment, preferably in childcare or care home settings.
- Passion for nutrition and inspiring others in healthy eating.
- Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) - must be passed on day 1 in post.
- Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing different dietary requirements.
- Experience of EHO interaction during Food Safety & Hygiene inspections.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
