Job Summary:

Noble Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Export Manager/Supervisor to lead our Export Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of export operations, providing exceptional customer service, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Export Operations team to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Ensure equitable treatment, motivation, and resource allocation for staff.

  • Convert quotes into shipments and liaise with overseas agents/shipping lines to negotiate rates and ensure smooth shipment execution.

  • Book in, prepare documents, and send notifications to customers and stakeholders.

  • Track shipments and communicate with customers on all shipments.

  • Arrange collections and deliveries, and ensure profitability and operational excellence.

  • Develop and maintain operational SOPs and continuously improve KPIs.

  • Implement initiatives to increase operating margin and nurture positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on management approach.

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Full comprehensive knowledge of Incoterms.

  • Sound understanding of how to put quotations together.

  • Good experience of working with and speaking with agents/freight companies, etc.

  • Customs Clearance working knowledge, based on CDS, CNS, Destin8 and experience in raising Entries for both Import & Export.

  • Experience in LCL/FCL Sea Freight, Airfreight, Road Freight and Courier.

  • Ability to act as Key Account Manager for certain Customers and liaise with customers on all shipments.

  • Ability to engage with a wide variety of Hauliers to negotiate competitive rates.

  • Ability to report and manage job counts/profits/job targets.

  • Proficiency in MS software and awareness of industry tools and technological developments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent and beneficial long-term relationships.
