About the Role

The Storage and Virtualization Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for implementing and maintaining our clients' storage and virtualization technology. As a technical lead, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients and will work closely with our service team to ensure the smooth operation of their storage and virtualization infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementation: Deploy and upgrade storage and virtualization solutions for new and existing clients, ensuring seamless integration with their existing infrastructure.
  • Maintenance: Monitor the performance and utilization of storage and virtualization, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements to our clients.
  • Troubleshooting: Support the recovery of clients' environments in the event of system failure or disaster, and investigate performance issues and bottlenecks in their storage and virtualization infrastructure.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in self-directed learning and continuous improvement of storage and virtualization products, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and ECI standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of and comprehensive experience in deploying and managing NetApp ONTAP, EMC VNX, VMware vSphere, and other enterprise storage solutions.
  • Networking and Distributed Computing: Thorough understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, and Firewalls.
  • Scripting Knowledge: Experience with PowerShell and scripting languages.
Desirable Skills
  • Financial Industry Experience: Familiarity with market vendor applications and experience working with financial industry clients.
  • Product Specific Knowledge: Thorough understanding of NetApp products and architectures, including ONTAP, SnapCentre, SnapMirror, and OnCmd.
  • Alternative Storage and Virtualization Products: Prior experience or familiarity with alternative storage and virtualization products.
