Senior Sustainability and Carbon Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability and Carbon Consultant to join our team at the Useful Simple Trust. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goal of creating a more sustainable future.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced professional to lead our sustainability efforts and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for leading whole life assessments, developing circular economy strategies, and gathering and analysing data to inform our sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead whole life assessments in accordance with RICS and GLA Policy Guidance.
  • Develop and implement circular economy strategies and report against industry-recognisable frameworks.
  • Gather and analyse data to inform sustainability initiatives and develop strategies to reduce impacts.
  • Build support for proposals with key stakeholders and report outputs in clear and concise ways.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environment, sustainability, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Interest in operational energy and net zero strategies.
  • Knowledge of policies and emerging solutions for carbon, energy, and the circular economy.
  • A wider grounding in environmental and social sustainability themes.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Delivery of high-quality technical advice, reports, case studies, presentations, and training materials.
  • Take a thoughtful approach to work and embrace creative approaches to delivery.
