Multi Modal Operator Job Description

Red Recruit is seeking a skilled Multi Modal Operator to join our team in the Transport and Logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select the most efficient transportation modes and routes based on factors such as cost, urgency, and cargo specifications.
  • Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Prepare relevant shipment documentation, including Import & Export customs entries.
  • Ensure smooth transport of shipments by handling necessary paperwork.
  • Address and resolve any shipment delays, disruptions, or issues that may arise during transit.
  • Negotiate rates to maximize margin.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience working within the Transport and Logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of all modes of Transport (Air, Road and Sea).
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of the HMRC CDS system.
  • Cross-trade experience is an advantage.
