Freight Forwarder Coordinator

Red Recruit is seeking a skilled Multi Modal Operator to join their team in Dartford. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring and tracking shipments, ensuring timely updates, and optimizing transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select the most suitable transportation modes and routes based on factors such as cost, urgency, and cargo specifications.
- Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and manage relevant shipment documentation, including Import & Export customs entries.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure smooth transportation of shipments and address any delays or issues that may arise.
- Negotiate rates and maximize margin.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years' experience in the Transport and Logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of all modes of transport (Air, Road, and Sea).
- Proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of the HMRC CDS system.
- Cross-trade experience is an advantage.
