Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team on a temporary assignment from 29th July to 22nd August, with the potential to become a permanent member of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking and packing customer orders with accuracy and efficiency
  • Handling 'goods in' from suppliers, including unloading, checking, storing, and administration
  • Producing samples promptly in line with customer requirements
  • Operating a forklift, counterbalance, and pallet pedestrian truck under safe working guidelines
  • Ensuring all goods loaded/unloaded match relevant paperwork
  • Storing and rotating stock according to company procedures
  • Reporting damaged or missing goods to the Warehouse Manager
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse environment and equipment
Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Experience with warehouse activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative working with other departments to ensure high-quality order completion
  • Good timekeeping and ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work quickly, accurately, and safely

Please note that a valid Certificate for a Counterbalance Forklift is essential for this role.

We are looking for a candidate who can commit to working from 29th July to 22nd August and is interested in permanent work after this time.
