Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team on a temporary assignment from 29th July to 22nd August, with the potential to go permanent. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, working collaboratively with other departments to meet high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking and packing of customer orders, including final finish, packaging, checking, loading, and administration
  • Handling 'goods in' from suppliers, including unloading, checking, storing, and administration
  • Producing samples promptly in line with customer requirements
  • Operating a forklift, counterbalance, and pallet pedestrian truck under safe working guidelines
  • Ensuring accurate and safe loading and unloading of goods
  • Storing and rotating stock according to company procedures
  • Reporting any damaged or missing goods to the Warehouse Manager
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse environment and equipment
Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Experience with warehouse activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good timekeeping and ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work quickly, accurately, and safely

To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to commit to working from 29th July to 22nd August and be interested in permanent work after this time.
