Job Description

Job Title: Controller/Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller/Planner to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning daily and future bookings, ensuring resourcing is correct and all stakeholders are informed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan daily and future bookings within our Cleric controlling system, ensuring resourcing is correct and all stakeholders are informed.
  • Dispatch and manage operational crews to ensure timely and efficient collection and delivery of patients between destinations and achieve contractual targets.
  • Receive and respond to patient transport requests and queries in a timely and effective manner, ensuring compliance with relevant service procedures and standing orders.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data input, completing ad-hoc forms/invoices as necessary, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain and enhance the performance and quality of service offered to patients and customers.
  • Deal promptly and professionally with all telephone calls, taking appropriate action on own initiative where required, and liaise with other agencies such as GP's, Nursing Homes, Hospital Clinics, and Wards.
  • Maintain patient flow across all control areas through effective liaison with colleagues and hospital staff, and promptly resolve urgent problems and respond to unplanned events.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, gained from experience of dealing with customers or members of the public.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and problem-solve.
  • Good organizational skills.
