We are seeking a talented Ecologist to join our team at Tetra Tech, a leading provider of consulting and engineering services. As a Graduate Ecologist, you will assist our highly skilled ecologists in undertaking a range of habitat and protected species surveys, desktop studies, data analysis, and report writing.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your field craft and consultancy skills as part of a professional team in the great outdoors. You will work on exciting, ground-breaking projects and receive support to grow in your chosen specialism, as well as training to develop the core skills needed to succeed in the corporate world.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in habitat and protected species surveys, including bats, reptiles, amphibians, otters, and barn owls.
- Conduct desktop studies and data analysis to inform project decisions.
- Write reports and contribute to the development of project proposals.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from across the business on multi-disciplinary opportunities and projects.
- Minimum 2:1 Degree or equivalent in the area of ecology, conservation, or a similar relevant discipline.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Student or qualifying member of CIEEM (or at least have evidence of working towards securing this).
- Understanding of the principles of ecological survey and mitigation work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible, unsociable hours, including evenings and early mornings.
- Willingness to travel for work.
