About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in providing expert ecological advice and guidance to clients across a range of sectors, including residential, defence, energy, government services, and transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality ecological advice and guidance to clients, including bat roost assessments, emergence surveys, and licensing work.
  • Conduct ecological appraisals and protected species surveys, including badger, great crested newt, reptile, and dormouse.
  • Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of development on the environment.
  • Work closely with clients and colleagues from other teams to deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Provide support and feedback to colleagues on project deliverables, drawing on the knowledge of our technical experts to develop the best solutions.
Requirements
  • Strong field skills and experience in ecological consultancy.
  • Ability to develop technical skills in line with project requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and adapt to changing priorities.
