About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Professional Misconduct Lawyer to join our team at Thompsons Solicitors. As an Assistant Solicitor, you will play a key role in handling a varied caseload of litigated and non-litigated professional misconduct cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of professional misconduct cases, including those involving healthcare professionals and educators.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on professional conduct matters.
  • Represent clients in regulatory proceedings, including hearings and appeals.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in professional conduct regulations and laws, ensuring that clients receive the best possible advice.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience as a qualified lawyer, with a strong background in professional misconduct and regulation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies, including the HCPC, NMC, SWE, and TRA.
