Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the HV, Energy, and Renewable Sector. This role will involve working on a project within the UK, collaborating with our client to deliver leading-edge solutions to clients.

The successful candidate will have a third-level degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience working as an Electrical Engineer. They will be responsible for developing and reviewing schematic drawings and single-line diagrams, complying with project safety requirements, and detailed design of high and low-voltage equipment and control systems.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, experience working in the power and renewables sector, and the ability to prioritize workload according to deadlines. They will also be able to influence colleagues at all levels and enjoy working as part of a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Development and review of schematic drawings and single-line diagrams.
  2. Compliance with project safety requirements.
  3. Detailed design of high and low-voltage equipment and control systems.
  4. Specification, selection, and procurement of equipment.
  5. Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
  6. Assistance with the preparation of technical and contract documentation.
  7. Progress monitoring and reporting.
  8. Method statement and risk assessment preparation.
Requirements:
  1. Third-level degree in Electrical Engineering.
  2. 3+ years of experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Experience working in the power and renewables sector.
  5. Ability to prioritize workload according to deadlines.
  6. Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
  7. Enjoy working as part of a high-performing team.
