The Technical Success team at OpenAI is responsible for ensuring the seamless deployment of our AI models and products for developers and enterprises. We act as trusted advisors and thought leaders, ensuring our customers maximize value from our solutions. As a Partner Solutions Engineer, you'll collaborate with global system integrators, advisory agencies, and regional system integrators to deliver high-quality services and solutions to a diverse range of customers.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Partner Solutions Engineer to join our team and support the growth of our partner network. In this role, you'll work closely with partners to ensure they can effectively deploy and integrate OpenAI's products, including ChatGPT Enterprise and the OpenAI Platform. You'll provide technical enablement, guide partners through the implementation of AI solutions, and help them identify high-value use cases. Your efforts will accelerate partners' time to productivity, ensuring they deliver exceptional results for our joint customers while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct technical assessments of prospective partners to ensure alignment with OpenAI's strategic goals and their ability to drive technology adoption.
  2. Align with the Revenue Partnerships team to achieve shared goals.
  3. Develop and deliver tailored technical enablement programs, providing ongoing support as partners integrate and deploy solutions.
  4. Collaborate with partners' sales teams to qualify and close opportunities, offering technical guidance through demos, architectural recommendations, and showcasing the business value of OpenAI solutions.
  5. Lead technical support during partners' initial projects to ensure successful implementations, mentoring their technical teams towards self-sufficiency in delivering OpenAI-powered solutions.
  6. Serve as a trusted advisor, addressing complex technical inquiries, ensuring quality of partner-delivered services, and providing product feedback to inform future strategies.
  7. Create and maintain internal documentation and playbooks outlining best practices for partner engagements, sharing insights from successful use cases to empower internal teams and partners.
Requirements

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  1. 7+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales role, managing C-level technical and business relationships with complex global organizations. Experience working with Global SIs is a plus.
  2. A track record of successfully enabling and scaling SI and Consulting partner networks with a focus on delivering high-quality customer outcomes.
  3. A thorough understanding of IT security principles and customer requirements for technical B2B SaaS products, with experience providing higher-level security and compliance support.
  4. Delivered prototypes of Generative AI/traditional ML solutions and have knowledge of network/cloud architecture.
  5. Industry experience in programming languages like Python or Javascript and working with REST APIs.
  6. Effective presentation and communication skills, able to translate business and technical topics to all audiences, including senior leaders.
  7. Able to own problems end-to-end and pick up missing knowledge to get the job done.
  8. A humble attitude, eagerness to help colleagues, and a desire to make the team succeed.
