As a Senior Product Strategist focusing on Legacy Readers, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the existing reader products within the HID Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS) portfolio.

This role serves as a vital link between product development, operational teams, and customer support, ensuring the delivery of exceptional products and user experiences.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in product strategy, particularly in the fields of electro-mechanical systems and embedded firmware, specifically within the RFID and physical access control sectors.

As our Senior Product Strategist for Legacy Readers, your contributions will include:

  • Leading initiatives for the legacy reader product line, aiming to deliver distinctive solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Defining and articulating actionable product specifications that address both market needs and internal challenges.
  • Ensuring that product initiatives align with the strategic vision and priorities of the legacy reader roadmap.
  • Managing adjustments to the product vision and roadmap in response to broader strategic themes and market trends.
  • Identifying optimization opportunities through continuous improvement efforts, informed by customer feedback and competitive analysis.
  • Driving results by establishing metrics to assess the effectiveness of the product line within budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to synchronize marketing, sales, and product development efforts to boost revenue and profitability.
  • Formulating and executing comprehensive Go-to-Market strategies for the lifecycle management of existing products.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in product development from initial concept through to market launch.
  • Experience in product management across diverse customer segments and technological frameworks.
  • Ability to navigate complex decision-making processes with a focus on strategic risk management.
  • Market-oriented mindset with the capability to anticipate evolving business requirements.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and adeptness in managing multifaceted projects.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and detail-oriented with excellent documentation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership across various functions including Sales, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Operations.
  • Capacity to challenge existing processes and foster a culture of innovation through effective change management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying intricate information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and analytical platforms such as Salesforce and Oracle.
  • Familiarity with product management tools like Jira and TestRail is advantageous.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or a comparable role.
  • In-depth knowledge of contactless RFID technology, including hardware and firmware aspects.
  • Strong understanding of the physical access control and security industry.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and lean innovation practices.
  • Training in SAFe methodologies is beneficial.

Customer Engagement:

  • Ability to interpret and manage internal requirements, customer specifications, and technical standards.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing customer expectations and requirements.
  • History of excellence in customer relations and interactions.

Work Requirements:

  • Adherence to all relevant policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, and Environmental standards.
  • Willingness to travel as required, including international travel.
  • Eligibility to work in the designated country.
  • No relocation assistance is available for this position.
