Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Formulate a comprehensive vision for the merchandising department aligned with overall brand objectives;
- Design well-rounded product assortments and assess departmental performance metrics;
- Implement effective space allocation and inventory control strategies.
Sales Optimization:
- Enhance sales and inventory levels through strategic trade practices;
- Adapt to market dynamics and oversee departmental performance indicators to maximize profitability;
- Engage with suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries and stock readiness.
Market Insight:
- Contribute to the merchandising strategy with valuable commercial insights;
- Work closely with Buying teams to align range planning with business goals;
- Leverage merchandising analytics tools for accurate forecasting and performance evaluation.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Head Office merchandising role is required;
Strong proficiency in Excel and experience collaborating with manufacturers.
