The Infrastructure Control Systems Manager will report to the Control Systems Manager and will operate within the Technology, Strategy Regulation and Support Services. This position is a permanent role.

Job Purpose:

The Infrastructure Control Systems Manager leads a team of six engineers responsible for the development and maintenance of the Operational Technology infrastructure.

This role is crucial in ensuring reliable and scalable infrastructure operations that support essential control system functions, delivering consistent and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Directly manage and develop a team of six engineers, overseeing resource planning and task allocation to optimize performance.
  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the reliability of OT infrastructure services, including data centers and network systems.
  • Strategic Development: Formulate infrastructure strategies that align with the company's technology objectives.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage the allocated budget for OT infrastructure, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for OT infrastructure, effectively communicating plans and strategies.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet all requirements.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and maintain security protocols.

Nature and Scope:

This role involves collaboration with various managers to ensure that the OT infrastructure meets operational and strategic demands. The manager is expected to drive high-performance services and solutions that propel the business forward.

The team is focused on enhancing safety, performance, and data accuracy while maximizing returns on investments. The role also encompasses managing a significant on-premises infrastructure estate that supports numerous applications.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess experience in system infrastructure management and hold relevant qualifications.

Key experience areas include:

  • Knowledge of network systems and data center management.
  • Experience in managing technical teams and projects.
  • Understanding of agile workflows and automation.
  • Ability to communicate complex strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and cybersecurity.
