Company Overview:

Dabster is a forward-thinking technology firm seeking a talented and knowledgeable DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in safeguarding and optimizing our software development workflows on GCP. Your proficiency in GCP, Rego policies, and Terraform will be essential in creating a secure and efficient development pipeline.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and uphold Rego policies to implement security measures and compliance protocols within our GCP infrastructure and applications.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to embed security within the GCP-centric CI/CD pipeline, automating security evaluations and scans.
  • Design and deploy secure microservices and containerized applications on GCP, adhering to GCP security best practices.
  • Strategically manage GCP resources securely and effectively using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
  • Conduct thorough security evaluations on GCP environments, pinpointing and rectifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Execute threat modeling and risk evaluations for GCP deployments, crafting robust security solutions.
  • Address GCP-specific security incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Keep abreast of GCP developments and industry security trends, disseminating knowledge among team members.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness within the team, integrating security throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in DevSecOps with a specialization in GCP.
  • Expertise in Rego policies and policy-as-code methodologies, particularly in GCP applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GCP services, security measures, and best practices.
  • Experience with GCP-specific security tools and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Strong background in Terraform for IaC and CI/CD workflows with GCP integrations.
  • Familiarity with GCP security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Solid understanding of container security on GCP and securing microservices.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities for effective teamwork.
  • Relevant GCP certifications such as Google Professional DevOps Engineer or Cloud Security Engineer are a plus.
