Deputy Team Leader for Young Man with Complex Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Team Leader to join our team in providing 24-hour support for a young man with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, profound learning difficulties, and severe visual impairment.

The successful candidate will be based in the family home, where they will work collaboratively with the team to provide a safe and stimulating environment for the individual. This will involve assisting with daily living tasks, managing medication, and providing emotional support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with individuals with complex needs, a sense of humour, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also be required to drive and have a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and mobility
  • Manage medication and administer oxygen therapy
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Assist with physiotherapy and sensory stimulation
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a safe and stimulating environment
Requirements:
  • 2 years experience of working with individuals with complex needs
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • No pre-existing musculo-skeletal or back injuries
  • Valid driver's license
