Job Title: Automation & Control Discipline Team Lead

Wood Digital Consulting is seeking an experienced Automation and Control Discipline Team Lead to join our EMEA Systems Integration business. This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, with mobility and travel to customer sites and face-to-face meetings with colleagues expected.

About the Role

The Discipline Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 to 14 Engineers of various levels to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the Automation and Controls department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering delivery in one or more relevant industry sectors, with expert-level experience and understanding of discipline engineering tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Engineers to deliver high-quality results and meet business objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and developmental feedback to team members
Requirements
  • ISCED Level 6 / Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 / Masters (preferred) degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Chartership with a relevant professional body / Professional Engineer License or equivalent is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Able to attract top talent to meet current and future business needs
