Job Title: Data Governance Lead, Vice President

Citigroup, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead, Vice President to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading activities that contribute to the definition of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with partners to establish, manage, and implement policy adoption plans, compliance metrics, communications, and training.
  • Lead business analysis through collection, analysis, review, documentation, and communication of business needs and requirements to understand requirements and align them to Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards.
  • Contribute to the establishment of Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards in alignment with Enterprise Chief Data Office and ensure proper documentation of processes.
  • Support key Data Transformation projects across the organization as a Subject Matter Expert in data policies.
  • Lead activities to ensure roles and responsibilities related to data are understood and implemented across businesses.
  • Capture requirements, develop delivery plans, and manage the entire lifecycle of metrics and report production.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Banking or Finance industry preferred in a Data Governance/Data Management/Process Engineering, Risk, Controls, Data Auditing, or related area or Internal Audit experience (preferably Markets or Technology).
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive consensus and influence relationships at all levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work well with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Ability to optimize work processes by balancing effective/efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Policies/Standards/Procedures, Data Governance/Management, Data Compliance, Data Risk and Controls within large, financial services firms.
  • Experience in overseeing multiple workstreams, presenting status updates, and identifying risks.
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data/Information Management.
  • Any certifications relevant to Data, Risk, Audit, Project Management preferred.
