About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solutions Architect to join our team at Version 1. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Solution Design and Implementation: Lead the planning, design, estimation, development, and implementation of Dynamics solutions based on established patterns and best practices, working with development teams as well as directly with customers.
  • Translate Business Needs into Technical Specifications: Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Document Solutions: Create comprehensive documentation for solutions, including architecture diagrams, high-level and detailed design documents, configuration, and user guides.
  • Ensure Solution Scalability and Maintainability: Ensure solutions are scalable, robust, and maintainable.
  • Customize D365 Applications: Customize D365 applications using out-of-the-box features, custom plugins, workflows, and scripts.
  • Design and Implement Integrations: Design and implement integrations with other systems and applications.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users and technical staff.
  • Identify Opportunities for Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to maximize system efficiency.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
  • Conduct Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Mentor and Train Junior Developers: Mentor and train junior developers and team members.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Product and Technology Knowledge: Continue to develop product and technology knowledge in order to deliver the best solutions for the customer.
  • Liaise with Customers: Liaise directly with customers to gather/refine requirements.
  • Manage Solutions through the Application Lifecycle: Manage solutions through the application lifecycle.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Architecture Experience: Demonstrated architecture experience leading development of solutions using the Microsoft Dynamics platform and core technologies and associated ALM strategies.
  • Experience with Dynamics Integrations: Experience delivering Dynamics integrations with APIs or third-party solutions.
  • Demonstrated Experience with Dynamics Migrations and Upgrades: Demonstrated experience of leading Dynamics migrations and upgrades.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Stack: Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft stack (.NET, JavaScript, ASP.NET, MVC, C#.Net for Plugins and custom workflows, Integrations using.NET).
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Workflows: Experience with Dynamics 365 workflows (internal and Power Automate).
  • Strong Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS: Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS and/or KingswaySoft.
  • Experience Developing Solutions using Dynamics 365 CE Applications: Experience developing solutions using Dynamics 365 CE applications (Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights).
  • Experience with Testing Strategies and Tools: Experience working with testing strategies and tools for Dynamics solutions.
  • Ability to Demonstrate Experience with Non-Functional Requirements: Ability to demonstrate experience with Non-Functional Requirements.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience Leading Cross-Functional Teams: Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies and DevOps Teams: Experience with Agile methodologies and working in DevOps teams.
  • Eligibility for SC Clearance: Eligibility for SC clearance or already Security cleared, this requires a minimum of 5 years address history in the UK.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with Power Platform: Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven), Power Pages, Power Virtual Agents, Power BI).
  • Experience with Success by Design: Experience in delivering implementations through Success by Design.
  • Experience with the Wider Microsoft 365 Platform: Experience with the wider Microsoft 365 platform including SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience Integrating Dynamics Solutions with APIs or Third-Party Solutions: Experience integrating Dynamics solutions with APIs or third-party solutions.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and backlog/progress tracking.
  • Strong Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS/Azure Integration Services: Experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS/Azure Integration Services.
  • Experience with Additional Dynamics Modules: Experience of additional Dynamics modules (Field Service, Project Automation, IOM).
  • Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft Certifications (MB-910, MB-200, MB-210, MB-230, MB-240, and/or PL-900, PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, PL-7000 series, AZ-900).
