A remarkable position has opened up within a prominent maintenance provider in the UK.

They are seeking a Building Fabric Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of distinctive properties.

The ideal candidate will take charge of the maintenance and management of building fabric, ensuring that all facilities are upheld to the highest standards.

Responsibilities will include managing small works and projects, ensuring that all tasks are executed with exceptional quality.

Additionally, the successful individual will lead the maintenance teams at each site, facilitating the safe and efficient upkeep of building services and fabric maintenance (this experience is crucial), while establishing proactive planned maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of fabric maintenance across various properties.

  • Implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule for ongoing maintenance tasks.

  • Manage refurbishment projects as necessary.

  • Develop project timelines, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and critical tasks are prioritized.

  • Supervise staff relocations and changes, along with managing one internal resource.

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations during project execution, collaborating with the H&S Manager to manage risks and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor budget expenditures for assigned responsibilities, ensuring delivery remains within agreed financial parameters.

  • Coordinate quotations and raise purchase orders, utilizing workflow tools to approve incoming invoices.

  • Organize and plan workloads, issuing planned preventative maintenance tasks and new work requests efficiently.

  • Conduct weekly checks of all Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems to ensure accurate compliance reporting.

  • Ensure all maintenance objectives are met.

Qualifications
  • Background in building fabric or multi-trade maintenance.

  • Experience in managing small works fabric projects.

  • Strong contract management skills with the ability to foster professional relationships with external suppliers.

  • Previous experience with historical or heritage buildings is advantageous.

  • Proficient in managing and operating CAFM systems for work issuance and monitoring.

  • Experience working on large estates is preferred.

  • Experience in venues open to the public is a plus.

  • A proven history in commercial building maintenance is essential.

  • IOSH Managing Safety or equivalent certification is desirable.
