Building Fabric Technician - Facilities Management – Temporary Position

We are excited to present a unique position with a prominent Facilities Management provider. Our client is currently in search of a Building Fabric Technician to support maintenance operations within a commercial setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with the on-site maintenance team to perform fabric planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance tasks.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00am - 17:00pm
  • Immediate Start Available
  • Competitive Hourly Rate
  • Ongoing Temporary Role
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Perform essential fabric maintenance tasks, including minor painting, adjusting hinges, installing or repairing window treatments, changing locks, and making small repairs to furniture and equipment.
  • Conduct basic plumbing tasks such as clearing blockages, addressing leaks, replacing parts, and servicing plumbing systems.
  • Coordinate with the contract management team
  • Address complaints and implement appropriate solutions
  • Provide updates to the helpdesk regarding the status of maintenance and engineering jobs
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial property maintenance
  • Familiarity with various building fabric responsibilities (Plumbing, Painting, Carpentry, Basic Electrical, etc.)
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety protocols
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet navigation
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Self-driven with the capability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
