Our Public Law Team
Our Public Law team is a dynamic and experienced group of lawyers who specialize in civil liberties and judicial review claimant matters. We have a strong track record of success and are recognized for our expertise in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members
- Assist with delivery of training and development in the department
- Deal with a range of Public Law work, including NHS and Local Authority challenges, Immigration and Asylum Tribunals, and policies and practices made by government agencies
- Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with changes in law and policy and apply this knowledge to our work
Requirements
- Law Society Immigration Accreditation Level 2 (IAAS) and Supervisor
- Previous proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators
- Excellent networking and communication skills
- Working knowledge of the Legal Aid Guidance for Public Law matters
- Ability to service privately funded cases
- Extensive experience in dealing with all Public Law related work
- Experience in own advocacy is an advantage
- Excellent IT Skills
