We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at MDR Limited. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation in all dishes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Head Chef and ensure all kitchen staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with recipe, food hygiene, and allergen control requirements.
- Supervise and train junior and commis chefs, ensuring they are fully trained and understand their duties.
- Manage stock rotation and control within the kitchen.
- Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to and comply with HACCP guidelines.
- Prioritize tasks and demonstrate effective time management.
- Work as part of a team, demonstrating good communication and organizational skills.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment.
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
