Management Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our close-knit finance function in Oxford. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, budget holder reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets and management accounts.
  • Assist with the production of statutory accounts and returns.
  • Manage the fixed assets ledger and reconcile it to the nominal ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Support the annual audit and liaise with auditors.
  • Assist with cash flow management and reporting.
  • Prepare VAT returns, VAT annual adjustment reporting, and capital goods scheme adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the Accounts Office.
  • Support the payroll function and deal with ad hoc queries from other departments.
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE with extensive experience.
  • Excellent business partnering skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems and packages.
  • Ability to work in a busy, yet small finance function and take ownership of tasks.
