  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and review progress of key commercial activities and results, and adapt as necessary to ensure focussed, cost-effective initiatives.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure new business deals and partnerships.
  • Develop and implement a sustainable business model for long-term growth of the organisation.
  • Translate financial and non-financial metrics into actionable operating plans to support key stakeholders in driving the business forward.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and assess new market opportunities, ensuring that they will deliver sufficient return relative to their commercial risk.
  • Ensure the business is always 'consciously in control' of what it is doing and focuses on margin and cost management.
  • Ensure the Finance team deliver timely and accurate monthly accounts and other management reporting information as required.
  • Continuously develop and enhance financial reporting, including sales pipeline and key performance indicators.
The Requirements
  1. Experience in Commercial Finance, with a focus on leadership, continuous improvement, and change management.
  2. Able to conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision making and identify key business drivers.
  3. Operated at a senior level within both Commercial and Finance environments.
  4. CIMA or ACCA qualifications highly desirable.
  5. Experience of implementing commercial strategies based on systematic financial analysis and industry knowledge.
