Position Overview
The Payments and Cards Operations team is integral to the product ownership division, serving as a vital link that effectively collaborates with various Handelsbanken plc experts (such as compliance, risk management, financial crime prevention, and finance) to ensure exceptional customer service delivery. This department is crucial for enhancing the UK’s product and service portfolio, thereby supporting the growth of our operations in the UK.
The Payments & Card Operations Officer role is directly accountable to the Deputy Head of Payment and Card Operations or the Senior Operations Team Lead. This position involves working collaboratively within a team of officers to guarantee that all customer transactions are processed accurately and that any payment-related inquiries are addressed promptly and thoroughly.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to prioritize daily tasks and workflows according to changing demands.
- Independently execute daily responsibilities in alignment with established procedures and controls to ensure accurate payment processing and support branches with payment inquiries and investigations.
- Meet strict deadlines while maintaining a high degree of precision.
- Take ownership of resolving payment queries, exceptions, and discrepancies swiftly.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders, including branch personnel, finance teams, compliance officers, and third-party payment providers to facilitate investigations.
- Maintain and update accurate and timely management information in the team’s work tracker as required by the Head of Payment & Card Operations.
- Assist with and undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks as necessary.
- Support the implementation of changes to payment processes when required.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of Payment Operations procedures.
