Job Details

Antingham & Southrepps Primary School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils, particularly in our mixed-aged class settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support class teachers in the day-to-day management of mixed-aged classes, helping to deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning resources and materials for different age groups, ensuring activities are appropriately differentiated.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, helping to reinforce learning and ensure that all children can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Help to promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring children from different year groups feel safe and valued.
  • Support children with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), through tailored interventions as directed by the SENDCO.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and attitudes, following the school's behaviour management policy and ensuring pupils across different age groups interact positively.
  • Assist with the personal care and welfare of younger children, particularly those in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), as needed.
  • Supervise and engage with children during break and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being in a mixed-aged setting.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and any areas of concern.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training sessions to further develop your professional skills, especially in managing mixed-aged classes.
