About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at an SEN Trust. As a key member of our staff, you will work directly with students aged 6 to 19 who have a range of MLD and SLD needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum
  • Help young people with complex needs to achieve their educational and personal goals
  • Develop a supportive environment that fosters equality, diversity, and the rights of all young people
  • Place an emphasis on support and empowerment of young people
  • Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues and the values of the SEN Trust
Requirements
  • Willingness to work towards getting formal qualifications and attend training
  • Passion for working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Ambition to overcome barriers to learning
  • Ability to work in a team and develop a vision to see potential rather than disability
