About the Role

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce Team is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of needs, including MLD and SLD, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

You will work directly with students aged 6 to 19, providing individualized support to help them achieve their educational and personal goals. Our students require a specialist approach, and we are looking for someone who can provide a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters equality, diversity, and respect for all young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with their learning, development, and progress in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community
  • Help young people with complex needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, to achieve their educational and personal goals
  • Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues and demonstrate the values of Aurora in all aspects of the role
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
