Safer Hand Solutions Ltd is on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Bid Manager to enhance and lead our Bid Team effectively.

This pivotal role is essential for propelling our business development initiatives through effective team leadership and overseeing the bid process from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities:


Bid Process Oversight:
Lead the comprehensive bid process, ensuring timely submissions by your team that comply with both internal and external deadlines.
Establish and execute all necessary bid protocols, governance, and methodologies.
Guarantee that all proposals align with bid specifications and criteria.
Remain engaged through the presentation and negotiation phases, offering insights and applying lessons learned.


Team Leadership:
Build and guide a Bid Team, coordinating contributions from vital stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
Conduct regular performance reviews and manage requests for time off.
Identify training needs and facilitate development opportunities for your team.
Strategic Development:
Formulate a clear winning strategy for each bid in collaboration with the Sales lead.
Assist in developing value propositions, qualifying opportunities, strategizing wins, and delivering solutions.
Promote continuous improvement through post-bid evaluations both internally and with clients.
Communication and Coordination:
Prepare and assess the commercial components of bids, ensuring comprehensive inclusion of all products/services in the final proposal.
Oversee risk management throughout the bidding process.
Organize and plan all client presentations required as part of the bid submission.
Manage all communications through relevant platforms, ensuring they reflect current company information.
Documentation and Reporting:
Contribute to the written proposal, ensuring adherence to corporate branding guidelines and quality standards.
Consolidate sections/documents created by team members into the required tender format.
Maintain and back up master document sets and keep the Tender library and sales database updated.

Qualifications:
To excel as the Bid Manager, you should possess a proven track record in bid management, showcasing successful outcomes along with a robust understanding of bid management processes, techniques, and best practices.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
A background in solution selling and experience in bid management from opportunity identification to project execution.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Strong commercial acumen and risk management expertise.
Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to convey ideas clearly in presentations and bid documentation, a keen attention to detail, and assertiveness in soliciting information from colleagues within set timelines.

Outstanding organizational skills, capable of managing complex, multi-faceted opportunities, juggling multiple and evolving timelines, and maintaining oversight of a diverse and rapidly changing workload.

A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to swiftly identify and navigate potential challenges and objections, creatively aligning the prospect's needs with the company's solutions.
