At Alexander Steele Recruitment, we are partnering with a leading food manufacturer to find a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their team in London.

The Role:

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the quality assurance team to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and legality. You will work closely with the site Quality Manager to develop and implement quality management systems, conduct internal audits, and investigate complaints and supplier issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the internal audit schedule and conduct audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure team compliance at all times
  • Work with QA auditors to investigate complaints and supplier issues, determine and close non-conformances
  • Undertake product checks and testing to ensure quality and safety
  • Manage micro sampling, product swabbing, and environmental monitoring plans
  • Conduct shelf-life testing to ensure product quality and safety
  • Supervise the QA team and support their development and coaching to ensure they foster a culture of food safety and quality
  • Conduct compliance training to ensure team members understand quality management systems and procedures
  • Ensure product quality, legality, and safety, adhere to QA budget, and achieve KPIs

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years Quality Supervisory or Team Leader experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • A relevant degree or equivalent working experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal English)
  • Experience of facilitating internal auditing processes
  • Good working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, GMP, and Quality Management Systems
