Position Summary

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency at our Cardiff site, which has recently undergone significant investment to become a premier center for juice production in Europe. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Operational Performance Transformation and the Head of Operations to implement a cohesive manufacturing vision and strategy through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support lean manufacturing methodologies, including 5S and problem-solving techniques, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive implementation plan for operational excellence.
  • Conduct thorough gap analyses of site processes and performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Facilitate the development of essential technical and behavioral skills within the team to promote a culture of sustained improvement.
  • Engage and empower teams to drive cost reductions and optimize resource utilization through effective project management.
  • Encourage employee involvement in change initiatives to cultivate a culture that embraces transformation.
  • Provide coaching and training to colleagues, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to apply operational excellence principles effectively.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, contributing to a safe working environment for all.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior leadership level.
  • Proven track record in team management.
  • Extensive practical experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and delivering sustainable improvement projects.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing team members.
