At SAHA, we are dedicated to delivering comprehensive, high-quality housing services, support, and resettlement to our residents. Our Mental Health Support Worker will engage creatively with a caseload of clients based on their identified support needs to identify and develop the skills and resources to transform their lives and enable independent living.
Key Responsibilities:- Support and Accompany Clients: Provide high-quality support for vulnerable clients through 1:1 and group sessions, accompanying them to essential appointments, and helping them access information on housing, health, welfare, benefits, and other resources.
- Develop Person-Centred Support Plans: Create and implement person-centred support plans and risk management plans, keeping accurate records and collaborating with external agencies, including health professionals.
- Liaise with External Agencies: Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, including health professionals, to ensure seamless support for our clients.
- Manage Incidents and Challenging Behaviour: Help manage any incidents or challenging behaviour, providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients.
- Assess Potential New Clients: Help assess potential new clients, ensuring they receive the necessary support and services.
We are looking for a candidate with a working knowledge of the needs and support requirements of people with complex mental health needs or experience working in another social care setting. You will have a passion for making a difference and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be a great communicator, building trusting and professional relationships with our clients and colleagues. You will be comfortable dealing with difficult or complex situations and have a high level of resilience.
We offer a competitive salary package, including 26 days annual leave (pro rata) rising to 31 days, a high street discount scheme, pension with life assurance, health assistance programme, and training opportunities to aid your personal and professional development.
