About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team at our Group headquarters in North Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing an efficient credit control service, ensuring timely and accurate collection of monies owed to the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain robust payment procedures and effective communication with customers.
  • Accurately post and allocate customer receipts to accounts, investigate and resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies.
  • Proactively chase overdue invoices via telephone and email, ensuring timely payment.
  • Perform credit checks and credit limit reviews for new and existing customers.
  • Oversee and manage credit insurance limits and communication with the insurer.
  • Support the finance team as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in credit control, with a proven track record of success.
  • Pro-active with good problem-solving skills, able to manage debtors while retaining customer relationships.
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a strong attention to detail.
