Graduate Category Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Graduate Category Manager to join our dynamic team at The Channel Recruiter. As a key member of our buying and supplier relationship management team, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of suppliers, developing strategic supplier and category plans, and analyzing event and category performance to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a large portfolio of suppliers, building strong relationships and negotiating favourable terms.
- Develop strategic supplier and category plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals, conducting competitive and product category analysis to identify market trends.
- Analyze event and category performance, pivoting business accordingly to drive growth and profitability.
- Drive relationships and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and fill assortment opportunities.
- Conduct competitive and product category analysis to identify new suppliers and expand selection across product categories.
- Recent graduate with a degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with C-Suite level suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business software.
