About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Graduate Category Manager to join our dynamic team at The Channel Recruiter. As a Graduate Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of suppliers, developing strategic supplier and category plans, and analyzing event and category performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a large portfolio of suppliers, building strong relationships and negotiating favourable terms.
- Develop strategic supplier and category plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Analyze event and category performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Conduct competitive and product category analysis to evaluate market trends and identify new suppliers.
- Drive relationships and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and fill assortment opportunities.
- Enthusiastically negotiate for favourable terms with suppliers, including selection, pricing, and promotions.
Requirements:
- Recent graduate with a degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or supply chain management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, with experience in data analysis and market research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Passion for building relationships and driving business growth.
