Forklift Workshop Engineer

Hours:

Monday to Friday, with overtime available at 1.5 times the hourly rate

Job Type:

Full-time, permanent position

Our client, a leading provider of materials handling equipment, is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join their team at their Wellingborough site. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing forklifts and plant machinery, working with other engineers to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair forklifts and plant machinery, including electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Work with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure efficient and safe operations
  • Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities is essential
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience is advantageous
  • Previous experience working in the Forklift, Plant, HGV and/or Agricultural industries is advantageous
  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering, are advantageous
