Job Role:

As a Workshop Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing faults, servicing, and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on forklifts and plant machinery. You will work on engines, batteries, pneumatics, and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.

Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Salary:

£30,000-£33,000 DOE

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00-17:00 + Overtime @ 1.5x

The Client:

The Duties:

You will be responsible for:

  • Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing, and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns
  • Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics, and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Working with other engineers on the team to maintain and repair forklifts and plant machinery
The Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
  • Previous experience working in the Forklift, Plant, HGV and/or Agricultural industries (advantageous)
  • Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Full UK Drivers License
