London, Greater London, United Kingdom Place2Be Full time

We know that early intervention and working closely with parents can significantly enhance successful outcomes for children. We also understand that positive parenting has a profound impact on a child's life chances.

That's why our Family Practitioner role is fundamental to our whole school approach. Working with children and their families, you'll help adults better understand and support their child's mental health needs. You'll be instrumental in establishing relationships with parents, demystifying and reducing stigma around mental health, so all children will have opportunities to access the support they need.

You'll assist parents in developing the skills they need to parent effectively and confidently. This will involve collaborating with clinicians in school and across your region to share best practice, develop new concepts, and shape our services for the future.

For a career with purpose, this is an ideal opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Supporting children and families in developing effective parenting skills
  • Collaborating with clinicians to share best practice and develop new concepts
  • Establishing relationships with parents to reduce stigma around mental health
  • Assisting parents in accessing support for their child's mental health needs

**Requirements:**

  • Level 4 diploma in Health and Social Care, Early Years, or Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • Experience working in family support services or early years children's centres
  • Ability to develop and deliver parenting interventions or programmes
