Return to Social Work with Hampshire County Council

We understand that returning to social work can be a daunting experience, especially after a break. Our Return to Social Work scheme is designed to support you in re-registering and getting back into practice.

Our programme treats each individual as unique, offering tailored support to help you achieve your goals. You may have left social work for various reasons, and we can help you re-register and gain experience in a supportive environment.

We are recruiting social workers who are not currently registered with Social Work England (SWE) and would like to gain experience and registration. As a Family Practitioner, you will work within a social work team for up to 6 months, gaining the required hours of experience and SWE registration.

Once you have achieved registration, you will be appointed as a Qualified Social Worker within the team where you have been working. Our goal is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment that allows you to thrive and succeed in your social work career.
