Position: Special Educational Needs Support Assistant with Expertise in Behavioural Challenges

Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time Only

Employment Type: Full Time, Long Term

Our expansive and contemporary educational facility features specialised classes designed for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

We take pride in our well-equipped resources, outstanding leadership, and a headteacher who is dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.

Our diverse student population reflects a multitude of cultures, making our school a vibrant and inclusive environment where over 30 languages are spoken.

We provide a variety of engaging activities, focused academic subjects, and enjoyable after-school programs, ensuring that every student discovers their strengths and flourishes.

Recognised as "good with outstanding features" by OFSTED, we are devoted to achieving excellence in education.

We are looking for a committed Special Educational Needs Support Assistant with a focus on Behavioural Challenges to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis.

This role has arisen due to the growth of our SEN department. The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to students, assisting them in reaching their full potential.

This position is particularly rewarding as it offers the chance to significantly influence the lives of students with SEN in a well-resourced and supportive environment.

Candidates should have prior experience working with children with SEN, especially those exhibiting challenging behaviours.

  • A solid understanding of best practices and strategies for SEN.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting students with special educational needs.
Responsibilities include providing individual support to students with challenging behaviours, facilitating their access to the curriculum and engagement in learning.

  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement and develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • We offer a competitive daily rate of £85-£100, ensuring that your contributions are valued. You will have the opportunity to work in a school that has received a "good with outstanding features" rating from OFSTED, supported by an experienced and nurturing leadership team. Our commitment to your professional development is evident through the range of training opportunities available. Our convenient location provides onsite parking and excellent transport links, making your commute straightforward. Embrace a vibrant, multicultural, and inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated and valued. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with SEN, contributing to their growth and success.
All applicants must possess the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. For teaching positions, a formally recognised teaching qualification is required. However, we will retain your CV and continue to assist you in your search for a role within education.

Teach Now is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This position will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Clearance.
