Job Title: Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people during nighttime hours
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of each child, responding to their needs and providing empathy and compassion when required
  • Participate in activities with children, promoting their well-being and development
  • Contribute to bedtime routines that are tailored to each child's needs
  • Maintain accurate records using a computer system
  • Report missing children and follow established procedures
  • Communicate effectively with out-of-hours services and respond to phone calls professionally

Requirements:

  • Experience in childcare or a related field, with a focus on safeguarding children
  • Ability to work as part of a team, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prepare work
  • Willingness to work towards the relevant qualification if not already held
