Purpose of the Role

To drive and deliver profitable sales by maximizing every opportunity that comes into the business. Leading, inspiring, and managing a team of regional internal team sales representatives to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and Supporting the Team

    Acting as the first point of contact for Internal Sales Support Team members with responsibility for Sales, Customer Service, and Technical functions.

  • Sales Practice

    Instilling and leading by example a set of good sales disciplines to fit in with a strong sales ethos.

  • Opportunity Qualification

    Coaching team members to effectively quote potential opportunities.

  • Commercial Mindset

    Instilling a focus on qualification, upselling, cross-selling, and development of the Flowtech brand.

  • Sales Leadership

    Directing activity across sales, customer service, and technical functions to meet targets and inspire commercial success.

  • Process Improvement

    Identifying and promoting opportunities to enhance internal processes.

  • Performance Reporting

    Producing and utilizing reports to increase team performance and achieve KPIs.

  • Customer Engagement

    Working closely with Customer Services to improve satisfaction and leading by example in delivering exceptional service.

  • Sales Analytics

    Using analytics to highlight sales opportunities and ensure follow-up.

  • Collaboration

    Engaging cross-functionally to drive beneficial outcomes for the business.

  • Personal Development

    Creating and implementing personal development plans for each team member.

The Ideal Candidate

Minimum of 5 years' sales experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role (Team Leader or Sales Manager).

Good understanding of recognized sales disciplines and sales ethos and their practical application.

Excellent and proven people management skills.

Strong commercial acumen.

Excellent rapport building and listening skills.

Highly organized and efficient.

Strong questioning and qualifying skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Comfortable talking to customers.

Resilient and tenacious.

Experience in fluid power would be desirable but is not essential.
