The Northgate Medical Practice is seeking a skilled and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our primary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care, including management of diabetic patients, respiratory management, and wound care.
- Conduct new patient medicals, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests as required.
- Provide travel clinic services, including vaccinations and travel advice.
- Perform ECGs, peak flow readings, and spirometry as needed.
- Administer vaccinations, including routine immunizations and childhood immunizations.
- Request pathology tests, such as urine culture and swabs.
- Participate in administrative systems and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with senior nurses and GPs to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of infection control and patient care protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the effectiveness of the team.
