Business Analyst for Technical Solutions - Specialty Insurance

A Business Analyst specializing in technical solutions is sought to contribute to a dynamic specialty insurance organization undergoing significant transformation towards an Agile and Product-oriented framework.

This position will be integral to the underwriting product team, facilitating the deployment of a diverse range of products throughout the organization while playing a pivotal role in achieving the company's overarching product vision.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in specialty insurance within the London Market, demonstrating proficiency in system implementation and integration, alongside exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to foster robust relationships both internally and externally.

As the organization expands, this role offers substantial exposure to various workstreams and a continually evolving product portfolio, making it suitable for a proactive individual eager to enhance their expertise in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent remote position, requiring only occasional on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering comprehensive requirements to enable the team to implement product modifications in accordance with the established delivery framework.
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of processes from both technical and user perspectives and their implications for the business.
  • Leveraging diverse data sources to identify trends and inform decision-making to instigate change.
  • Conducting detailed and critical analyses of various components within our ecosystem as necessary, providing clear feedback and actionable suggestions for enhancement.
  • Collaborating closely with delivery teams to translate business needs into user stories with explicit acceptance criteria.
  • Assisting in the product incident management process through prioritization and investigation.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst within the Lloyd's/London Market specialty insurance sector.
  • Proven track record in delivering insurance products and familiarity with various product offerings and underwriting tools.
  • Working knowledge of data models, APIs, and SQL.
  • Experience with Kanban and Scrum methodologies, as well as Agile practices.
  • Strong relationship management capabilities, with a keen attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
