About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping and Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Richmond Villages Wood Norton. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest cleaning standards throughout our luxury retirement village.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all residents' care home facilities, public areas, and individual properties are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.
- Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Empty bins regularly and report any safety hazards to management.
- Perform a range of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as cleaning carpets and upholstery.
- Wash, dry, and iron residents' clothing, bedding, and communal laundry, including for our on-site care home residents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role.
- A basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest cleaning standards.
